Things To Do During Pregnancy

Let’s start with the things that you should do in pregnancy. So, here are X things to do during pregnancy:

1) Take Multivitamin Supplements

You must have learned about the significance of a healthy and balanced diet during pregnancy. Moreover, diet is one of the most important things to focus on during pregnancy. Basically, you need to have all the nutrients in the diet, but vitamins must be emphasized. Yes, there are certain types of vitamins that are crucial to the growth of a fetus. These are known as prenatal vitamins and contain folic acid, calcium, iron etc as well.

That’s why taking multivitamin supplements is very helpful during pregnancy, as it fulfills DHA, EPA, and other vital nutrients. Moreover, you can also take omega-3 fatty acids supplements as they are important to the brain development of the baby. However, all the supplements and diet must be considered after the consultation with Gynaecologist. It is important because while some vitamins and nutrients are vital to the body, there are a few vitamins whose higher doses can cause harmful effects on the development of the baby.

2) Eat Seafood

Now, as we talked about supplements, let’s also look at some natural sources of vitamins. Seafood can be a fantastic source of essential nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, which are great for your baby’s brain development. Just be sure to choose low-mercury options like salmon, shrimp, and sardines.

3) Get Enough Sleep

Getting enough sleep is important even on normal days for every human being. However, due to the hustle and bustle of daily life, people often neglect it. But you are a pregnant lady, and you have to think more about the baby you are expecting. Thinking about the baby also includes taking good care of yourself.

Sleep is a state where you feel the most calmness. So, during pregnancy, you should try to sleep for at least 7-9 hours daily. Moreover, if you want to sleep more, then you can sleep during the day as well. Now, why is it so important? The common answer is to give your body some rest and charge it for the day. However, being more specific to a pregnant lady, there are actually a lot of changes in the hormone levels of a woman during pregnancy. Such changes often lead to anticipation and anxiety. As we mentioned, sleep is the best state to relax, and you can cope with this anxiety and anticipation by getting a good night’s sleep.

4) Follow a Workout Routine

There has always been a debate about whether pregnant women follow a workout routine or not. But it’s now clear that working out is one of the best things to do during pregnancy. And the benefits are so good that you yourself will not be able to resist. So, what are the benefits of exercising when I’m pregnant?

Firstly, a workout routine, especially when you include some specific exercise for normal delivery, helps with ease during delivery and supports natural delivery. Yes, natural delivery is becoming very uncommon due to excess bed rest and lack of exercise.

Workout also helps in preventing excessive weight. Basically, when you are pregnant, the baby bump makes it impossible to know how much weight you are gaining. So, after delivery, you may get to know that you have gained weight. So, regular exercise will also help you prevent excessive weight gain.

Not only are they risky for your health, but they are even riskier for the baby. Alcohol consumption can cause problems like low birth weight, learning disabilities, behavioral issues and many more. 3) Clean the Cat Litter Box

Cleaning the cat litter box is a definite no-no during pregnancy. It can expose you to toxoplasmosis, a parasite that can be harmful to your baby.
